Bathtime

Anneke loves bathtime!  She's totally calm and quiet!

 And after today's bath we thought we'd try on the super cute bath set she got from Uncle Nathaniel and Aunt Rachel.  We thought we'd better try it soon since it's a 3 month outfit and she's already in 3 month clothes.  But it's still a little big--which is really good because it means we'll get lots more use out of it.

It's so warm and cozy that she fell asleep!

Chillaxin'

Well, Anneke is already one month old!  Crazy how time flies! 

So we finally pulled out the swing!  We had a couple of really challenging evenings with a lot of screaming.  So last night we thought we'd be proactive and set up the swing.  She liked it for a few minutes, until she got the hiccups.....but we'll keep trying!

Week 3 and Baptism

Anneke is four weeks old today--we can't believe it!  This week she had her 3-week midwife appointment.  They weighed her and she's already at 9lbs 11oz--she's growing!  It's amazing to look at her and see how much she's changed already!

Today Anneke was baptized and we celebrated with family and friends.  It was a great day and Anneke was great!  She didn't cry in church at all!  And this weekend she got to meet some of her cousins and another Aunt and Uncle!  Here are some pictures of our weekend:

Thankful

It's amazing to think that our due date was actually Tuesday, this coming Tuesday that is!  And instead of anticipating what was to come, we've spent the last two weeks getting to know our beautiful little girl.  It's been a whirlwind for sure, but we are extremely thankful this Thanksgiving!  We're thankful that Anneke is healthy and we're thankful for all the family and friends that have been supporting us.  We pray that everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving!

Meeting Oma

Yesterday, Oma arrived!  and just in time!  For a big stinky wet gross looking brown/yellow mess in 7 diapers since she's been here.
Not bad for a girl who had gone five days without any.

We're really enjoying the help Oma's giving us.  Here's a picture or two of what's been going on!

Good Night. Sleep Tight.

Oh boy.  A good nights rest is such a nice thing.  We've had two nights in a row where Anneke has had what I would call a good night.  We've been letting her sleep for about 3 hours at a time, then waking her up for a feedings.  She wakes up.  Feeds.  Goes back to sleep.  And we do too.
